Facilitation

Great facilitation is not about lecturing, reading bullet points off a slide show, or doing "data dumps" that leave participants bored and itching to escape.

It's about creating a warm, friendly, engaging and active learning environment where every single participant feels they can contribute, learn new skills and practice in a safe, judgment-free space.

It's about storytelling, and connecting what participants are learning in class to their real-life roles and situations.

It's about enabling everyone to learn from each other as they discuss their successes, challenges and even their failures.

It's about continually reading the temperature of the room and making sure everyone is coming along on the journey.

And, yes... it's also about keeping things fun.
